Online Social Networking
The Entertainment Consumers Association (ECA) embraces social networking, which allows users to make a difference on a global scale. An individual, cause or group can use social networking to expand and make a difference, and raise money and awareness, for a particular issue or cause.
Social networking sites are the modern world’s water coolers, online gathering places where users connect with friends and join communities of like-minded people to communicate and organize regardless of geographic boundaries. They generally allow various ways for users to interact, since direct peer to peer connectivity is the power of these networks, and most allow chatting, messaging, email, video, voice chat, file sharing, blogging, discussion groups and for users to create profiles.
The ECA is happy to facilitate social networking among gamers, where people of similar interests can meet other like minded friends. We hope to organize ECA supporters on these networks, creating alerts and action items to for supporters to support or fight legislation that affects our members.
