BECOME A PARTNER

The ECA appreciates the help of our partners-they help us deliver benefits to our members and spread our message of videogaming advocacy. These companies and brands don't just say that they're interested in supporting gamers and gaming, they follow through.

Because we don't accept funding from the industry (and presently have no advertising across our network), the ways in which we work with sponsors is as diverse as their products and services. Media companies generally provide us with remnant ad space with which to promote the association (online banner ads, print magazine ads and PSA-style video/TV ads). Service and subscription partners as well as merchants and event companies tend to offer discounted rates and/or special promotions to our members. We don't limit how prospective partners choose to work with the association. In fact, we've found that letting them use existing systems/offers that they use for other groups and modeling that is often the path of least resistance.

In exchange, we provide sponsors with a holistic approach to co-marketing: we integrate their brands and products into every facet of our normal marketing and messaging operations. Be it ad units on our newsletters, websites and publications, or product samples that become part of our prize offerings, or messaging in our many booth/event activations, we believe that a partnership should - at the end of the day - truly be, just that. So if brand X is offering our members discounts and is promoting our organization to their customers, we'll do whatever we can to reciprocate. Perhaps that's why you'll find some of the leading companies in the sector, or otherwise interested in gamers, supporting the ECA.
